A selection of football stars from around the globe will be present to honour the career of Nigerian defender Joseph Yobo when his testimonial match is played at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in the Garden City on May 27.
The former Super Eagles captain, who played 101 matches for the Nigeria national team, will say a fond farewell to his fans alongside former team-mates and other professional footballers he considers friends.

Among the well-known players confirmed for the testimonial are Thierry Henry, John Terry and Wayne Rooney.
Fellow Africans Andre Ayew, Sulley Muntari and Samuel Eto’o will also take part in the festivities in honour of Yobo’s 18-year professional playing career, along with many other recognised stars of the game.
Yobo retired from the national team in June 2014, following the World Cup in Brazil. During his club career the respected defender spent 10 years playing for Everton in the English Premier League. He also had spells with Norwich City, Turkish club Fenerbahçe, French side Marseille, and Belgium’s Standard Liège.
