Shoutout to my favourite fashion icons in the US doing the most.
First one has to be Kanye West – because Kanye is above all.
Here’s a comprehensive list of why: he was named GQ‘s most stylish man of the year and one of TIME’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2015. He’s been owning it as a producer, songwriter, fashion designer and Kim Kardashian’s husband. He’s done collaborations with the biggest brands around like Louis Vuitton, A.P.C, Adidas and Nike and now has his own clothing line called Yeezy. His trainer line is known to disappear off the shelves within a matter of hours.
A$AP Rocky AKA The Trendy Nigga.
He’s always hanging out with the best fashion icons around like Chanel Iman, Rihanna and recently Kylie Jenner. The rapper, producer and actor is incredibly classy. He often popularises brands just by wearing them. For example French clothing-line PIGALLE and the Comme des Fuckdown hat are now household names.
He knows how to mix all his influence in a unique smooth style.
The recording artist, music producer and musician from Houston, Texas has an innate fashion sense and is often spotted during fashion weeks looking flawless. If he ends up doing something at Givenchy, don’t tell me I didn’t tell you.
Off-White creative director and one of Kanye’s friends, Virgil is the cool guy you should be seen with.
His fashion shows are always impeccable. He’s got the recipe for perfection with his original cuts and choice of classic colours. And even better, he goes all out on the after-party.
Self-proclaimed ‘King of the Youth’.
He’s Wiz Khalifa’s assistant and personal stylist and A$AP Rocky’s creative director. He only works with big names like Stussy, Supreme, FourTwoFour, Shalon & Rogers, Pink Dolphin, Midnight Studios… the list goes on. He hangs out with the A$AP Mob crew and models for none other than Mr Kanye (yes, he was the one smoking during the show) and Virgil Abloh.
The definition of an It boy.
Luka was discovered in a video-game shop by the owner of Re:Quest Model Management. His mother was a stylist for John Galliano and his father is a designer too – Lukas was born into the fashion industry. He’s doing it all: travelling between NYC, Paris and London; throwing parties with Virgil Abloh and Ian Connor; and collaborating with Stussy…
The hat man.
Everyone knows the American singer, rapper and record producer. Well known for his hat and collaboration with Adidas’s Stan Smith and not forgetting his fashion labels Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream that have reached cult status.
There are plenty more legit style icons but you have to stop somewhere!
