Egyptian club Zamalek have announced the squad that will take on Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca in the semi-final first leg of the CAF Champions League.
The highly-anticipated North African battle will begin with Friday night’s encounter at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria, before the White Knights of Zamalek travel to the Complexe Sportif Moulay Al Hassan in Rabat on 24 September to complete the tie.
The 17-man squad for the match sees only four defenders selected, with midfielders required to compensate for the defence if injuries occur to the limited backline available for the first leg.
In attack, Zamalek have new signing Stanley Ohawuchi included in the squad, following the Nigerian’s transfer to the club on loan from fellow Egyptian side Wadi Degla.
