Eleven artists, six fashion designers and twenty art experts are coming to Douala for a new festival.
Intense Art Magazine (IAM for short) is hosting a week-long series of events on Cameroonian art and fashion called IAM ART & FASHION.
The publication is an ‘artistic platform that celebrates women in the fields of visual arts, fashion, design and architecture in Africa’.
They’ve been publishing enlightening features on African creatives, such as stylist Juliette Ombang and artist Kristine Tsala, whose painting is on the cover above. The series of talks and events will focus on artists they published in the magazine’s printed edition last year. The festival is a great opportunity to take in Cameroonian fashion and culture at its best.
The festival is running from October 2 to 9 at MAM Galerie in Douala.
