Nigerian starlet Ahmed Musa is the subject of renewed interest from new English Premier League champions Leicester City, with the Foxes making an offer for the winger, who plays for Russian club CSKA Moscow.

The 23-year-old was on City’s radar during the January transfer period, but nothing came of the attempts for his signature.

Now, with the EPL title in the bag, and the prospect of UEFA Champions League football next season, Leicester have made a fresh approach for the Super Eagles star.

CSKA Moscow coach Leonid Slutsky revealed the offer during an engagement on Russian sports channel, Match TV. ‘The British club offered a bit less than EU€30m,’ he explained, alluding to the fact that Musa was aware of the interest and likely to make a move to the Premier League if negotiations continued as expected.

Musa has been an important contributor to a title winning season for the Russians, scoring 18 goals to steer his team to Russian Premier League glory.
