New Arsenal recruit Mohamed Elneny is settling in well at the Emirates Stadium, praising the cohesion within the club and labelling it a family.

Speaking to Arsenal Magazine, the 23-year-old revealed: ‘I feel like I have joined a big family rather than a football club. Everyone has been so welcoming, friendly and helpful ever since my arrival and this has made my life a lot easier and has helped me adapt quickly to life at this club.’

Having joined the Gunners from Swiss side Basel in January, the Egyptian midfielder has already won his second consecutive Arsenal Player of the Month award, indicating his level of comfort at his new club.

‘The members of the family complete each other, from Arsène Wenger to the ground staff. Even the club’s chairman is part of this family,’ the Egypt international mentioned.

‘I like to speak and joke with everyone and they all treat me the same. I consider them all as brothers and I am really happy about life here at Arsenal,’ he explained.

Adjusting well to life at the Gunners, Elneny scored a wonderful UEFA Champions League goal against Barcelona in March, making him only the fifth African player to score against the Catalans.
