Redlight’s music video for Lessons just dropped today.
Nigerian-British film maker and DJ Akinola Davies Jr directed the video and his brother, Wales Davies produced it. The video features some skaters cruising through Lagos, piggybacking on cars and hanging out.
‘Lessons was shot in Lagos, Nigeria, whilst I was home for a family wedding,’ Akinola explains. ‘Driving around one night I saw a silhouette of a roller bladder and after more research saw that there is a thriving inline skating community across Nigeria.’
‘I recruited a group of friends between the ages of 16 and 18 and documented a day skating with them. We shot in the iconic former National Stadium in Surulere and near Lagos City Hall on Lagos Island.’
