Characters of Egypt festival is an annual three-day tribal festival that takes place in October.

This year it was held at the Camel Yard in Port Ghalib in the desert of Marsa Alam. About seven tribes came together to share their music, poetry, sports and diverse cultures.

The participating tribes this year were Ababda, Bishareya, Farafra, Sinai, Nubia, Siwa and Arab El-Shararat. Everyday was full of different activities like camel races, high-jump and long-jump competitions, poetry reading and of course music and dance performances.
