Délio Jasse is an Angolan artist who lives in Lisbon. He experiments with analogue photography techniques – many of which are his own – to create his vibrant yet distant works.
Délio is now represented by Tiwani Contemporary in London. His series Pontus (2011), monochrome works with warm bursts of yellow, takes you on a trip through Luanda.
Délio’s work uses found images, from passports and family albums. Everyday life takes a strange turn; anonymous locations have a dreamlike finish. Images of unknown industrial parks sit by busy streets and encounters.
