The AFRIMA Awards hit the city of Lagos on November 15 this year. Awards were dished out and stars partied until sunrise.
We thought we’d have our own celebration, with a list of five of the lucky winners who took home an award.
The Tanzanian R’n’B songstress bagged best artist in African pop:
Best African collaboration going to this group of hip-hop big names for All eyes on me:
Kenyan band Sauti Sol won best African group/band this year.
Best female artist in North Africa went to Manal for this single:
The SA rapper won both best artist in South Africa and best hip hop act. Impressive!
