He’s back and back with a bang. Yaya Touré returned to Man City’s starting lineup and showed Pep Guardiola what he had been missing by scoring the two goals that helped the team secure three valuable points against Crystal Palace.

Touré who recently sought to mend bridges with his manager by apologising for his agent’s remarks will be glad to have done his talking on the pitch. His teammates also appreciated his contributions and showed solidarity with their star Ivorian at the final whistle.

Such games can turn fortunes and this could be a turn for the better for Touré as January approaches, when he could be added to City’s Champions League squad.
