The first-ever BET Experience Africa is happening on December 12 in Johannesburg.

Home-grown talent will perform alongside American stars for a lively day of events taking place at Ticketpro Dome. Nigerian singer, dancer and actor Flavour N’abania will be performing as well as Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania. Grammy-winning artists Maxwell, Raphael Saadiq are coming from across the pond alongside Young Thug and Mary J Blige.

Soulful house legend Monique Bingham and SA’s very own Black Motion will be bringing the heat too.

The event is not just limited to music. There’ll be a series called ‘Genius Talks’ with influential figures sharing their insight and advice. NBA vice president Amadou Gallo Fall will be taking part.

With a trainers convention, comedy stage and a celeb-filled basketball game, the event seems to have something for anyone who is interested in urban culture. As the first-ever BET Experience to be held outside of America, the event promises to be something special. You can buy tickets from here
