Get out the cake and the candles: Rugby Africa turns 30 years old, and is being commemorated by a range of events in Morocco this week.
Rugby Africa (the former Confederation of African Rugby) was created in 1986. Some of the most important figures of rugby are attending the celebrations which last from April 6 to 8 including World Rugby president Bernard Lapasset.

Rugby Africa has over 40 members and expects to expand. With the growing audiences and interest, the Confederation is hopeful for the sport’s future in the continent.
