Southside With You, is a romantic comedy starring Parker Sawyer and Tika Sumpter portraying the Obamas’ first date in Chicago in 1989. The film explores the eve of the relationship between Barack, an associate with big dreams, and Michelle, a young and ambitious lawyer.
The trailer is giving us all the feels and this might be the best African-American romantic comedy we’ve seen in years. Can’t wait for its release.
