Ghanaian lyricist Okyeame Kwame is to perform at the Standard Hotel in Manhattan.
The MC is famous across West Africa for his sharp Twi lyrics on traditional highlife beats. Kwame doesn’t just stick to one genre – one of his latest tracks, Mere Twen Wo, goes in on a reggae riddim:
