Ivory Coast international Serge Aurier has once again hit the headlines for the wrong reasons. He has been given a two-month jail term for elbowing a police officer over an incident that occurred at a Paris night club in May.

This marks another low point in Aurier’s career in the French capital. Last February, he earned himself a suspension from the team when he insulted then Paris St-Germain coach Laurent Blanc. Zut alors!

The troubled midfielder is expected to remain free pending an appeal against the decision. For such a talented player, it appears Aurier is willing to allow his off-field antics overshadow his undoubted ability.
