The theme was ‘Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology’, and that future looks black, beautiful and proud.
Highlights? Idris Elba was a co-chair this year and Amandla Sternberg declared herself an Afrofuturist in straight Calvin Klein. Lupita Nyong’o went all out with an undoubtedly African hairstyle, Ciara became a silvery goddess and Bella Hadid looked like she was wearing her boyfriend The Weeknd’s hair. Special mention to Solange in a flamboyantly yellow get-up. Lemonade reference?
