Deddeh Howard is a Liberian model who is combatting the lack of diveristy within the modelling industry her own way: by recreating famous campaigns that featured iconic white models such as Kate Moss, Gisele, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid.

Howard believes that although some small progress has been made in the modelling industry, the use of black models is still significantly low, ‘even though I was told by those agencies that I have an amazing look, they already have a black model,’ she recalled. ‘It seemed as if one or two black models on the roster are enough to represent us all. When you are told that, trust me, it feels bizarre.’

So in a bid to show that women of colour can do it the same – or better – Howard teamed up with photographer Raffael Dickreuter to reshoot major campaigns from  Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Guess and others.
