Leicester City midfielder Ahmed Musa has been arrested at his home in Leicestershire on suspicion of common assault. The Nigerian international was reported to have been quizzed by police after they received a domestic abuse complaint against the player.

Although it appears no further action has been taken by the police, this is unwanted distraction for the player, who is yet to feature in Leicester city’s revival under new manager Craig Shakespeare.

Former CSKA Moscow man, who is the record signing of the EPL champions is yet to play a full 90 minutes this season and has found the back of the net only twice. The talented midfielder had shown early promise during a pre-season friendly with Barcelona, scoring two spectacular goals.

With Jamie Vardy and Islam Slimani finding scoring with more regularity, it is difficult to see Musa’s route back into Leicester’s first team. His hopes of achieving this have certainly not been helped by his flirtation with the law.
