The daughter of the president of Angola, Isabel dos Santos, has been named the chair of national energy company Sonangol.
Nice job if you can get it.
The former Sonangol board were all sacked by Angola’s president in April. Mr Dos Santos has been in power for close to 37 years but has stated his intention to step down in 2018. Isabel is reportedly the richest woman in Africa at a wealth valued over GBP£2bn.

Angola is currently Africa’s largest oil exporter with the profits making up 90 per cent of the countries earnings from abroad. It is also one of the countries with the highest child and maternal mortality rates.
