Joseph Oscar Mettle, aka Joe Mettle a celebrated gospel artist in Ghana, has won the ultimate award in the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Award.

Since the inception of Ghana Music Award in 2000, no gospel artiste has ever won this award. He won after beating Sarkodie, MzVee, EL, Stonebwoy, and Medikal to become Ghana’s topmost artiste.

His 2012 debut single Nhyira has now become a regular on the playlist of many households. Joe Mettle is an inspirational singer with more than 15 songs to his credit. Joe Mettle has performed in the United States of America, Nigeria, Jamaica, South Africa and the UK.

Okyeame Kwame – who will be at the IMPACT Music Conference – won best music video of the year for Small Small featuring MzVee. Other award categories at the Vodafone Ghana Music Award were:
