South African comedian and The Daily Show host, Trevor Noah, is not only gaining adult, political fans Stateside – he is down with the kids back home too.
Noah was awarded the honour of ‘Favourite African Star’ during the 2017 Nickelodeon Kids Choice awards held in Johannesburg (The Oscars of the teeny-bopper world).

Other nominees included Nigerian musician, Yemi Alade; popular Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele; Hollywood favourite Lupita Nyong’o; South Africa model/actress Pearl Thusi; and 400M world record holder, Wayde van Niekerk from South Africa.
In true cute-as-a-button style, Noah tweeted his gratitude of winning stating that kids never chose him at school… Well, they do now!
