The Togolese footballer and free agent since leaving Crystal Palace this summer, Emmanuel Adebayor has joined Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir.

The 32-year-old striker once played for Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham.

Now he’ll be joining the club which is currently second in the Super Lig table. He’ll be joining fellow West African brothers, the Ghanaian defender Joseph Larweh Attamah and the Nigerian defender Musa Muhammed.

Director Mustafa Erogut said Adebayor is ‘impressed by the club’s project and the president’s vision so it is clear to us that the club and the player will contribute to each other.’
