A group of Ivorian musicians have shot a music video on the beaches of Grand Bassam, where a terrorist attack killed 16 on March 13.

Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) said it was behind the attack. But these musicians have a clear message for al-Qaeda: ‘We’re not even scared.’

And they are fighting terror with music, dance, love and peace.

The video shows people dancing and smiling on the beaches and in the beautiful resorts of the Ivory Coast’s UNESCO World Heritage site.

The hard-hitting lyrics include:

‘You kill innocent people in the name of God. You won’t go to paradise.’

‘Don’t kill humans because God has declared them sacred.’

‘Islam is a religion that advocates love and tolerance.’

The artists are all wearing a t-shirt with the message ‘Même pas peur’ and a heart in Ivorian colours. Where can we get one now?
