Yesterday, Nicolas Ghesquière, creative director of the house of Louis Vuitton, announced that Jaden Smith was on the shoot for the new SS16 womenswear campaign via his Instagram page.
Jaden Smith is well known for his avant-garde style; he wore a skirt for prom with Amandla Stenberg and a Batman costume for Kim and Kanye’s wedding.
It’s great that a haute-couture brand is ‘breaking the rules’ and taking a step forward by not giving a monkey’s fart about gender norms. Wonder what Willow thought?
And Louis Vuitton has often had good form when choosing faces to front campaigns; Liya Kebede slayed the 2015 campaign.
Liya Kebede was a must for our #TRUEAfrica 100 list of influencers in Africa. Here's the interview @liyakebede https://t.co/XwNH5T8JyU
