Ex-Super Eagle Vincent Enyeama is ranked the 6th best goalkeeper in Europe

LOSC Lille player Enyeama was placed sixth in the best performing goalkeepers of the season by CIES Football Observatory, an independent football study centre in Switzerland. He’s just behind players like Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid), Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus) and Kevin Trapp (PSG).

The goalkeepers were ranked according to six measurements: goals conceded per match, number of minutes per goal conceded, number of passes per match, number of saves per match, number of saves per goal conceded and the percentage of saves.

He was also voted into the French Ligue 1 Team of the year as the best goalkeeper. He celebrated the honour on his IG account:

Despite retiring from international football in 2015, after being capped a record 100 times for his country – often as team captain – these honours show there’s still life in the 32-year-old footballer yet!
