What were the big surprises? Kenya gained 43 places to be the 22nd best team in Africa (and 86th internationally). After beating Zambia on June 4, Guinea Bissau zoomed up to be the 19th highest placed African team and 75th globally. Cape Verde fell 13 places to become Africa’s 11th best team (still an impressive achievement for such a small team – read our analysis here).
The Black Stars and the Côte d’Ivoire both moved up one place. Algeria remain steady at 32nd.
