Oscar nominations are resoundingly white… again

This years Oscar nominations are out again – and they’re remarkably white… yet again.

There are no non-white nominations in the acting categories this year. Beasts of No Nations had no mention and neither did Spike Lee’s Chi-Raq. The resurrection of #OscarsSoWhite pretty much sums it up:

Idris Elba, Will Smith, Spike Lee… – better luck next time! With the seemingly neverending cycle of near-wins for Leonardo DiCaprio, perhaps we’ll live in an era where a smattering of non-white actors/actresses will get the same chance too.
