Cameroonian star Alex Song has left Barcelona and is headed to Russia to join Rubin Kazan.
Song signed for the Catalan club in 2012 from Arsenal, but has been unable to cement his place as the midfield enforcer in the team, a role where Sergio Busquets has been ever present. The talented midfielder has spent the last two seasons at Upton Park, where he showed signs of a return to his best form. This however has not been enough to convince West Ham boss Slaven Bilic of the merits of a permanent move to East London.

Song will best be remembered for his time at Arsenal, where he spent six seasons, and developed good link up play with former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie. Who could ever forget the dinked pass by Song that led to this sublime finish from the lethal left foot of the Flying Dutchman?
