Lupita Nyong’o’s just fresh out of the Met Gala and she’s ready to make headlines again with her role in Disney’s Queen of Katwe.
The film directed by Mira Nair tells the true life story of Phiona Mutesi, a Ugandan chess-genius born in Katwe, who becomes a chess champion. We hope the film takes Lupita and the other cast members, David Oyelowo and Madina Nalwanga, to the Oscars. Watch the trailer premiere for Queen of Katwe here:
