AS Roma have completed the signing of Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah on a permanent deal from Chelsea.

The player joined the West London club in 2014 from Swiss club Basel but failed to displace any of the midfield trio (made up of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Willian) for a starting position.

He briefly joined Fiorentina on loan in 2015, but enjoyed his best spell in the Italian capital with Roma last season, where he was in top form and saw him net 14 times with 34 starts.

Salah will hope to continue this form and lead Egypt to success at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) taking place in Gabon in January 2017.
