Kylie Jenner and Simone Biles were just some of the teens that made it onto TIME magazine’s list of the thirty most influential teenagers. Based on social-media power, activism, the coolness of their mum (yes, Sasha and Malia), these teens show the amazing diversity and inspirational power of young people today.

There were a few surprises: Camila Cabello from Fifth Harmony (yes, we thought she was older) and Luka Sabbat (yes, he’s even on TIME’s radar now) and some surprising omissions (bet Willow’s pissed).

Here are some of our favourites on the list.

Mesmerisingly beautiful Yara Shahidi is of African-American and Iranian-American. She's all about diversity: 'If a child grows up never seeing themselves represented as successful or as the hero then they are the anomaly if they succeed and the expectation if they fail.' © Alberto E. Sasha and Malia. How cute are Sasha's glasses? We can't wait to see what these women do next once their parents are out of the limelight... sob. © Chip Somodevilla/Getty
Effortlessly cool 'stylist-entrepreneur-champion' Luka Sabbat. Whatever he does, we love him. © Craig Barritt/Getty
Four times gold medalist gymnast Simone Biles still manages to look humble. Bring on Tokyo 2020! © Nick Wass/Getty

NB. There are no Africans on the list… but if there was anyone under 20 who was influential in Africa, their parents would have beaten it out of them by now!
